Why Emizentech

Why Choose Emizentech for Shopify Plus Development

We build and migrate Shopify Plus stores that load fast, convert well and don’t fall over during a sale — with clean code, careful SEO, and a team that’s done this enough times to know where the bodies are buried.

Migrations

Migrations that don’t tank your SEO

The thing that keeps merchants up at night. We map every URL, set up the 301s, mirror your metadata, and move your data cleanly — so rankings and revenue survive the switch instead of cratering.

Clean Liquid

Clean Liquid, not theme spaghetti

We write maintainable Liquid and use Plus features properly — Checkout Extensibility, Functions, Flow — instead of stacking twenty apps that slow your store to a crawl.

Built to convert

Built to convert, not just to look nice

A pretty store that doesn’t sell is a failure. We build with CRO in mind and keep optimising after launch — speed, checkout, mobile — because that’s where the revenue actually is.

120+ stores, built to scale

A decade building and migrating eCommerce for European retail and DTC brands.

The honest version

Replatforming to Shopify Plus isn’t “move the data and flip the switch.” That’s how brands lose half their traffic.

Here’s the thing nobody selling you a migration likes to dwell on: a botched replatform can wipe out years of SEO equity overnight. Broken URLs, missing redirects, metadata that got overwritten, tracking that silently stopped working — and three months later you’re staring at a traffic graph that fell off a cliff, wondering what happened. We’ve been called in to clean up enough of those to take the risk seriously. A Shopify Plus migration done properly is a revenue-critical project, not a dev ticket.

So our Shopify Plus development services treat the unglamorous parts — URL mapping, 301 redirects, data integrity, tracking, the launch-day rollback plan — as the actual job, not an afterthought. The fun stuff, the design and the new features, matters too. But it’s the careful migration work underneath that decides whether you come out the other side with your rankings intact.

And to be straight with you: Shopify Plus isn’t right for everyone. Sometimes regular Shopify is plenty, and we’ll say so rather than upsell you into a plan you don’t need. More on that below.

Everything from a build to a full replatform.

Full-cycle Shopify Plus development — design, build, migrate, integrate and optimise. Whatever stage you’re at, we cover it.

Custom Shopify Plus development

Custom Shopify Plus development

Bespoke stores built around your brand and your operations — custom themes, custom functionality, and Plus features used properly. Not a marketplace theme with your logo dropped on.

Migration

Migration & replatforming

SEO-safe moves from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Salesforce Commerce Cloud — data, redirects, design and integrations handled, with the goal of zero downtime on launch day.

Theme design

Theme design & development

Fast, lightweight, conversion-focused themes in clean Liquid — built for Core Web Vitals, not bloated with the stuff that drags load times into the weeds.

Headless commerce

Headless commerce

Headless builds with Hydrogen or your framework of choice when you genuinely need the performance and flexibility — and an honest “you don’t need this yet” when you don’t.

B2B & wholesale

B2B & wholesale

Plus B2B done right — company accounts, tiered and contract pricing, wholesale catalogs and custom checkout flows, running alongside your DTC store.

Integrations

Integrations & custom apps

Connecting Shopify to your ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, 3PL and payment stack — via existing apps, middleware or custom-built apps where nothing off-the-shelf fits.

Is Shopify Plus actually right for you?

Plus is a serious platform with a serious price tag. It’s brilliant when you need it and overkill when you don’t. Here’s roughly where the line sits — and we’d rather you know before you sign than after.

You're hitting high volume

You’re hitting high volume

Big traffic spikes, flash sales, thousands of orders. Plus handles up to 10,000 checkouts a minute — if you’re nowhere near that, regular Shopify may do.

checkout control icon

You need real checkout control

Custom checkout via Checkout Extensibility and Shopify Functions is Plus-only. If your checkout has to do something specific, that’s a strong reason.

B2B and DTC icon

You sell B2B and DTC

Plus has proper B2B — wholesale pricing, company accounts, separate catalogs — alongside your DTC store. A genuine reason to step up.

You're going international icon

You’re going international

Multiple stores, currencies and languages via Shopify Markets and expansion stores. If you’re scaling across Europe, Plus makes it far less painful.

integrations icon

You have complex integrations

ERP, PIM, OMS, custom apps. Plus gives you higher API limits and the headroom that heavy integration work needs.

Not sure?

Not sure? Just ask.

If none of these clearly fit, you might not need Plus yet — and we’ll tell you. Better an honest “stay on Shopify for now” than an oversized bill.

Migrating to Shopify Plus without torching your SEO.

This is the part that goes wrong most, and it’s the most expensive to fix after the fact. Lost rankings after a replatform can take months to recover — if they recover at all. Here’s exactly how we protect your search equity through the move.

Complete URL mapping & 301s

Every legacy URL mapped to its new equivalent, with 301 redirects tested in staging before launch. We chase down even the old pages that still hold backlinks.

Metadata & content preserved

Meta titles, descriptions, structured data and product content carried over intact — not silently overwritten by a theme default, which is how rankings quietly slip.

Clean data migration

Products, variants, customers, full order history and reward points moved with integrity checks. No “where did half our orders go” surprises post-launch.

Launch plan & rollback window

A staged go-live with tracking verified and a rollback plan ready. If something critical breaks, we can revert instead of leaving you bleeding sales.

The Shopify Plus features we actually put to work.

A lot of brands pay for Plus and use a fraction of it. These are the features that justify the price — when someone sets them up properly.

Checkout Extensibility icon

Checkout Extensibility

Customising the highest-converting page on your store — upsells, custom fields, branding — safely, the new app-based way rather than fragile checkout.liquid hacks.

Shopify Functions icon

Shopify Functions

Custom discounts, shipping and payment logic running natively at the backend. The Plus-only power that replaces a pile of slow apps.

Shopify Flow icon

Shopify Flow

Automating the repetitive ops — tagging, fraud checks, inventory alerts, fulfilment rules — so your team stops doing by hand what software should.

Shopify Markets icon

Shopify Markets

Selling across Europe and beyond — multiple currencies, languages and market-specific pricing — without running a dozen disconnected stores.

Expansion & multi-store icon

Expansion & multi-store

Multiple storefronts under one Plus org — by region, brand or B2B/DTC — managed centrally instead of as separate headaches.

B2B on Plus icon

B2B on Plus

Native wholesale — company profiles, price lists, payment terms — sharing the same catalog and admin as your consumer store.

Where we migrate from

Coming from one of these? We’ve done that move.

Each platform has its own migration quirks — its own way of storing data, its own SEO traps. We know where each one bites.

Platforms we replatform from

  • Magento / Adobe Commerce
  • WooCommerce
  • BigCommerce
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • PrestaShop
  • Shopware
  • Custom / legacy carts

Integrations we wire in

  • ERP (SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics)
  • Klaviyo / CRM
  • >PIM / OMS / 3PL
  • Payments & tax

Build & frontend

  • Liquid
  • Hydrogen (headless)
  • >React / Next.js
  • Core Web Vitals tuning

From audit to launch, with the SEO handled all the way through.

Migrations fail on process, not platform. Ours is built to protect your traffic and revenue at every step — and to leave you trained to run the store yourself.

1

Audit & discovery

We map your current store, data, URLs, integrations and what’s worth keeping. The recursive audit that decides whether a migration goes smoothly or sideways.

2

Design & build

Theme design and development in clean Liquid, with Plus features set up properly and CRO baked in from the start, not patched on later.

3

Migrate & integrate

Data moved with integrity checks, 301 redirects mapped and tested, and your ERP/CRM/3PL wired in. The careful, unglamorous core of the job.

4

QA, launch & support

End-to-end checkout and tracking tests, a staged go-live with a rollback plan, then post-launch monitoring, CRO and training so you’re not dependent on us.

We’d heard horror stories about losing rankings in a Magento migration, so that was our big fear. They mapped every URL and our organic traffic didn’t even dip — if anything it climbed once the site got faster. That alone paid for the project.

Running our wholesale on spreadsheets was killing us. They moved us to Plus B2B and now our trade customers just log in and order themselves. Clean build, no twenty-app mess, and they actually explained the trade-offs instead of just nodding along.

What I appreciated most: they told us we didn’t need headless yet, even though we’d asked for it. Saved us a load of money and complexity. The Markets setup for our European expansion has been smooth, and they trained our team properly.

The questions we get asked before signing.

It varies a lot with complexity, and anyone quoting a flat number before seeing your store is guessing. A focused theme build is one thing; a full enterprise migration with ERP integrations, custom apps and data hygiene is another. Most serious Plus projects run from the low tens of thousands of euros upward. The Shopify Plus licence itself is separate and paid to Shopify. After a scoping call you get a firm fixed price where scope is clear, or a transparent rate where it’s still taking shape — plus an honest view of ongoing app and retainer costs, which people often forget.
It can — done badly, it absolutely will, and that’s the single biggest risk in any replatform. Done properly, it shouldn’t, and your store often ends up ranking better because it’s faster. The protection comes from complete URL mapping and 301 redirects (including old pages that still hold backlinks), preserving meta titles, descriptions and structured data, and testing it all in staging before launch. We treat SEO preservation as a core deliverable, not a box to tick at the end, because we’ve been called in to fix migrations where it wasn’t.
Honest answer: not everyone needs Plus. It’s worth it when you have high order volume, need custom checkout (Checkout Extensibility and Functions are Plus-only), sell B2B alongside DTC, are expanding internationally with multiple stores, or have heavy integration needs. If none of that applies yet, regular Shopify may serve you perfectly well, and we’ll say so rather than upsell you. We’d rather have you on the right plan and trust us than oversize the bill and lose you.
A custom store build is typically two to four months. A full enterprise migration with data, complex integrations and custom functionality is more like four to nine, depending on how messy the source platform is and how many systems connect to it. We work in clear phases with milestones, and we plan launches around your calendar — never into peak season or a big sale. You’ll get a realistic timeline up front, not an optimistic one that quietly slips.
Yes — integration is usually where the real enterprise work is. We connect Plus to ERP (SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics), CRM, PIM, OMS, 3PL and your payment and tax stack, using existing apps where they’re solid, middleware like Celigo where it fits, and custom-built apps where nothing off-the-shelf does the job. Getting these right is what keeps your data and operations in sync — and treating them as an afterthought is a classic way enterprise migrations go wrong.
Yes, and we’d argue it’s where a lot of the value is. Beyond launch we offer support and growth retainers covering fixes, feature development, CRO sprints and technical SEO monitoring — the continuous improvement that actually grows revenue. But there’s no lock-in: we hand over clean, documented code and train your team, so you can run and extend the store yourselves. Plenty of clients keep us on because they want to, not because they’re stuck.
